The foundation of Smith & Wesson’s line of modern AR based sporting rifles is the M&P15 Sport II. Available with a Picatinny gas block on an optic ready model or with an adjustable A2 front post and Magpul MBUS flip up rear sight, the Sport II can be had with a standard or Magpul MOE M-Lok handguard and a Crimson trace CTS-103 red/green dot is available on some models. Every Sport II features a 16” threaded 4140 steel barrel with 1:9 twist, an A2 flash hider and 6 position adjustable stock.

Smith & Wesson cranks it up a notch with the M&P15T II and a 16”4140 CMV steel threaded barrel with 5R rifling, 1:8 twist and M4E flash suppressor. The M&P15T II includes an M&P pistol grip, Magpul CTR Stock, 15” free float handguard, Magpul MBUS  flip up sights, ambidextrous Radian Raptor-LT charging handle, ambi safety selector and flat faced trigger. The M&P15T II is available in an engraved limited edition series with 2^nd Amendment engraving on the magwell.

The M&P15 Competition Performance Center Edition raises the bar with an 18” 5R rifled, threaded carbon steel barrel with a 1:8 twist and Performance Center Muzzle Break. The M&P15 Competition includes a 15” free float Troy Alpha M-Lok handguard, VLTOR I-Mod adjustable stock, and Houge pistol grip. The competition model sends rounds downrange with a two-stage match trigger.

Smith & Wesson’s M&P15-22 Sport rifle provides a rimfire model chambered in 22LR that is perfect for training, varmint hunting or just plinking cans in the backyard. The 15-22 Sport features a 6 position CAR stock, 15.5” threaded carbon steel barrel with a 1:15 twist and a 10” M&P Slim M-Lok Handguard sporting Magpul MBUS flip up sights.

The Performance Center M&P15-22 Sport steps up to an 18” threaded carbon steel match grade precision barrel, chamber, and 2 stage match grade trigger. A VLTOR adjustable stock and Houge pistol grip and slim 10” M&P M-Lok handguard adorn this competition influenced model.
