The founder, Pete Kershaw knew what type of quality knife the outdoorsman needed and relied upon. Pete Kershaw mainly produced hunting knives at the time. In an effort to find the high quality materials needed to provide his customers with the best quality knife he began to look across the pond so to speak to KAI. KAI has been manufacturing bladed tools and knives for over 65 years and had been looking to export their brand to other countries. One thing led to another and Kershaw and KAI became partners. Today Kershaw continues to expand their line of quality knives to include the Random Leek model that features a Assisted SpeedSafe opening action, reverse tanto blade shape that is durable and functional. Another model is the Analyst which features a tanto combo edge that is serrated for use outdoors, and everyday use. The action is flipper model with the company's SpeedSafe assistance.
