The Knight’s Armament SR-15 E3 Mod2 with a 16” cold hammer forged barrel, chambered in 5.56NATO, is perhaps the pinnacle of modern AR-15 rifle design and production. Beginning with the E3 Enhanced Bolt which features an enlarged bolt face, rounded lugs and thicker bolt web for improved durability, the SR-15 delivers quality and performance from the inside out. The finely tuned mid length gas system of the SR-15 E3 Mod2 delivers precisely enough gas to reliably cycle the system without excess gas that can foul internals and burn the operator’s eyes even while suppressed. This fine tuning also leads to a flatter shooting rifle with a softer recoil impulse than a standard AR. The SR-15’s 4.5lb 2 stage match trigger trigger strikes an excellent balance between performance and mil spec security and the included Knight’s Armament flip up sights are widely considered to be among the best and most desirable backup sights available.
