The Taurus 605 Protector is a versatile small frame revolver suitable for concealed carry with the ability to shoot both 357 magnum and 38 Special. The ability for handle both calibers is a great benefit for training and having fun at the range with the lower recoiling 38 special caliber ammunition while retaining the option of using the more powerful 357 magnum round for self defense. This lightweight polymer revolver is easy to carry and deploy thanks to a semi-recessed snag resistant hammer and smooth, rounded design. Target acquisition comes easy with a bright fiber optic front sight and integral notched rear. This model features a 5 round stainless steel cylinder that looks great in contrast with the black polymer frame with an easy to locate low profile cylinder release button. The Double/Single action Taurus 605 Protector gives you the option of carrying in double action where the stiff trigger resists accidental discharge with a lighter trigger for follow-up shots, or cocking the hammer for a lighter single action pull for greater accuracy. The 605 makes use of soft, ridged rubber grips to tame recoil and maintain control of the firearm.
