The Wilson Protector 5.56NATO AR carbine is designed and built to bring the best features of Wilson's premium line into a more affordable package for home defense. To do this, Wilson has wisely chosen to use cost effective, high quality forged receivers rather than the more expensive billet receivers used in their higher end guns with no loss of performance or durability.  The Protector sports a Wilson Combat Match-Grade, precision button-rifled, stainless steel barrel mated to a black nitride-treated Mil-Spec bolt carrier group with an MPI tested Carpenter 158 bolt for exceptional accuracy, reliability, and durability. CNC-machined, Mil-Spec, forged upper and lower receivers are light weight and provide outstanding strength and durability. Out front, a Wilson Combat M-Lok handguard with a thin, ergonomic design has plenty of rail and attachment surface for all of the optics and accessories you desire. The Protector uses a mid length, low profile gas system with a non-adjustable black nitride coated gas block. Accuracy is built in thanks to Wilson's Accuracy tested match grade barrel with their Q-Comp muzzle device and proprietary 2-stage Tactical Trigger unit with a light, crisp, 4lb pull. Wilson's long-lasting, low-signature Armor-Tuff coating is applied  to the receiver and barrel for a durable, custom look finish.Finishing touches include Wilson's machined aluminum Tactical Trigger Guard, a Wilson Combat/BCM pistol grip, and a Wilson-Rogers Super-Stoc 6 position buttstock.
