The Beretta M9A4 Centurion is a shortened slide and barrel version of the outstanding M9A4 full size pistol designed for the US Army’s 9mm Modular Handgun System. Based on the battle proven M9, the M9A4 includes such enhancements as a Vertec frame with textured 92X thin grips (optional wrap-around grips are included), beveled magazine well, dovetailed tritium night sights, 92X enhanced short reset Xtreme Trigger System, and flat dark earth Cerakote finish. The Centurion is an aluminum framed, hammer fired, full sized pistol with a 18 round capacity and 4.79" threaded barrel. The legendary M9 firearm is recognizable by its iconic open slide design which saves recoil inducing weight and provides excess clearance for ejection, maintenance, and barrel cooling. Unlike the tilting barrel used on the majority of pistols produced today, the M9 uses a fixed barrel design which in combination with the weight of the firearm and it's exceptional trigger, contributes to it's outstanding accuracy. The Centurion's smooth, crisp double/single action short reset Xtreme Trigger System provides an extra crisp break and shorter reset than the stock M9 version. Like all M9s, the reliable M9A4 is built for the harsh environment of combat with a tough and durable aluminum frame, reversible magazine release, full size slide release, slide mounted decocker and 3-slot Picatinny rail. 3 Dot tritium night sights provide a clear and accurate sight picture in all lighting conditions.
