The H&K MR762A1 LRP III is a complete long range rifle package featuring H&Ks piston driven MR762A1 rifle with a Vortex Viper PST Gen II FFP scope and LaRue/Harris bipod. Based on the legendary full auto H&K 417 rifle used by elite militaries around the world, this semi-auto civilian version is built around HK's short-stroke gas piston system which keeps hot exhaust gasses from entering the receiver for cleaner, cooler, more reliable operation than direct impingement systems. Chambered in 7.62 x 51mm NATO, the MR762A1 sports a 16.5" cold hammer forged barrel made from the highest quality cannon grade steel for superior accuracy and longevity with a 1:11 twist optimized for heavier grain bullets. A 14.7" M-lok handguard provides ample room for weapon lights and accessories like the included LaRue/Harris bipod with 6″– 9″ extendable legs. Intended for longer range engagements, this rifle includes the excellent Vortex Viper PST GenII first focal plane rifle scope with MRAD reticle while an HK G28 adjustable 5 position buttstock ensures the proper length of pull and cheek height for the scope.
