KA-BAR Tanto Fighting Knife Serrated Edge

KA-BAR became famous for their knife design back in 1942 when the company submitted their design for a general use knife for the Marine Corps. The name "Kabar" became synonymous with their knife pattern, regardless of whether the knife was manufactured at the actual KA-BAR facility. The USMC KA-BAR was also adopted by the Army, Navy, Coast Guard, and Underwater Demolition Teams. The KA-BAR knives have been used ever since World War II including the Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom. Today the company still produces the knife that started it all and is still used by service men and women. The company has produced other variants of the knife for the civialian market for adventurers, survivalists, outdoorsman and women.

The model #1245 KA-BAR Tanto Fighting Knife Serrated Edge is a practical, all-purpose utility knife featuring ergonomically designed slip-resistant handle and features a serrated edge blade. The Tanto blade shape, of Asian influence, has a thick pointed blade that's good for penetration. Coupled with a glass-filled nylon sheath this knife is designed for the toughest of tasks. Hard plastic MOLLE compatible sheath included. This model is designed as an all-purpose utility knife that can work in various activites to include fishing, hunting, camping, and outdoor suvival. The knife comes with a glass-filled nylon sheath sheath that makes it easier to carry the large knife. The KA-BAR Tanto features a Kraton G handle that helps with grip control and is great in all sorts of weather conditions.
