Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Synthetic 5.56NATO 18.5" Barrel 5+1

The Ruger Mini-14 Ranch is a semi-automatic, magazine fed rifle chambered in 5.56NATO. The Mini-14 was first introduced in the 1970s as a scaled down version of the M14 and an alternative to the newly introduced AR15. Although never adopted by the US military, the Mini-14 has seen service with US law enforcement and grew in popularity on the civilian market as a compact, versatile rifle that could defend the ranch from predators of all kinds and even be used as a serviceable hunting rifle. This robust little rifle uses a breech bolt locking system and fixed piston gas system similar to its big brother for reliability in difficult environments.

The Mini-14 derives it's accuracy from a cold hammer forged 18.50" barrel, precision rifling and a ghost ring adjustable rear aperture sight with protected blade front sight. Integral scope mounts are machined directly on the solid steel receiver for the included scope rings and the receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting the included Picatinny rail. Multiple rails provide numerous options for the mounting of scopes, accessories and optics.
