The American Compact is designed to fit your hand with a fully ambidextrous slide stop and magazine release combined with a modular wrap around grip system. The Ruger American uses a pre-tensioned striker system to achieve a firm primer strike without a heavy trigger pull and a barrel cam reduces felt recoil for comfortable, reliable operation.
