The Sig Sauer P220 Legion chambered in 45ACP is a premium, optic ready version of the gun that started one of the most successful and respected series of pistols in modern firearm history. Known from the beginning as one of the most accurate 45ACP pistols right out of the box, the P220 quickly earned a reputation as one of the most reliable 45 ACP handguns as well thanks to a design that feeds bullets into the chamber in an almost straight line. The P220 features a stainless steel slide machined from barstock and a light weight alloy with an integral accessory rail for your choice of weapon light of laser. This Double/Single Action pistol utilizes a decocking lever to safely lower the hammer into double action mode without fear of an accidental discharge for added safety. While in this mode, the long, heavy double action pull of the first shot guards against an inadvertent trigger pull while the light trigger in single action mode allows for incredible accuracy. Sig Sauer uses a four point safety system which includes a decocking lever, patented automatic firing pin safety block, safety intercept notch, and trigger bar disconnector. The Legion adds a number of refinements including an optic ready slide with Sig's excellent X-RAY3 Day/Night Sights, a reduced and contoured Elite beavertail, low profile decocking and slide-catch levers and an enhanced, polished action with the SRT (Short-Reset Trigger) that allows for fast follow on shots. Finishing touches include Sig Sauer's proprietary Legion coating and custom black G10 grips with the Legion medalion. The P220 Legion features bright X-RAY3 Day/Night Sights sights for fast and accurate target acquisition under all lighting conditions. (3) 8 round steel magazines are included.
