The bolt action Steyr Scout 308WIN is a go anywhere, do anything, if I could only have one rifle, rifle. With a cold hammer forged 19” threaded barrel, a short 39.4” overall length, and a weight of just 4.5lbs, the Scout is easy to carry anywhere. Developed in collaboration with Marine Corps Lt.Col. Jeff Cooper, the Steyr Scout 308WIN boasts an extensive list of innovative features. This versatile, optic ready rifle has an integrated folding bipod and a spare 5 round magazine in the buttstock. The Scout was designed to accept a low-powered, forward-mounted scope for accurate fire with both eyes open. Backup ghost-ring iron sights are integrated to the top rail. The scout uses the Steyr Safe Bolt System which provides three safety settings; fire, safe with bolt operation and safe with bolt locked for transportation with around in the chamber. A two stage magazine system allows for a loaded 5 round magazine to be seated without chambering a round when the bolt is cycled for single shot operation or pushed in deeper to function as a traditional magazine fed system. Rounds are accurately sent downrange by a single stage adjustable trigger. The Steyr Scout 308WIN is perfect for horseback, ATV mount or anywhere you need a compact rifle that can go anywhere and be deployed quickly.
