Star Bonifacio Echeverria, SA is a Spanish firearms manufacturer. The company was located in the Basque region of Spain and produced firearms form 1905 to 1997. The Star brand began in 1919 and produced variations of the 1911 handgun . The company produced models for the a French contract that was a improved design of the company's model 1914 pistol. The Star 1911 styles pistols use the Browning tilting breech action, but has subtle designs changes. the guns were chambered in 9mm and were also used as stand in in movies and TV shows where 45 caliber blanks were scarce.
