This safety is now receiver-mounted, improving both accessibility and user confidence. In addition to the new safety, CZ took the opportunity to refine several aspects of the rifle's design. The action was shortened by nearly an inch and given slab sides to reduce both weight and overall footprint.

Gone is the stamped bottom metal of the older 455; in its place is a refined, two-piece interlocking bottom metal system that adds strength and a touch of elegance. Scope compatibility has also been improved by reducing bolt rotation from 90° to 60°, allowing for larger ocular bells and the use of lower rings. The 457 also features a fully adjustable trigger, allowing users to fine-tune weight, creep, and over-travel for a truly personalized shooting experience.
