Internally, a steel guide rod and a lighter 11 lb recoil spring offer superior reliability and longevity. The lighter recoil spring is excellent for running target loads. A Competition hammer and light mainspring provides an exceptionally light trigger pull, and the 4.6" cold hammer forged barrel delivers extreme, competition level accuracy. A fiber optic front sight and serrated rear sight offer rapid target acquisition in all lighting conditions. Front and rear slide serrations provide improved control for slide manipulation. The Competiton RED was designed as an out of the box race gun but is equally effective as a defensive pistol for home defense and as a range toy for those who demand extreme accuracy.
