The S&W PC Model 642 Enhanced Action revolver chambered in 38 Special +P is an upgraded version of the popular J-Fame revolver for concealed carry. This model features a butter smooth, enhanced action trigger pull and wood grips with basketweave checkering. A beautiful satin silver finish gives this revolver the good looks to match its finely crafted shooting experience. The double action only Model 642 combines the light weight of an aluminum frame for ease of carry with a stainless steel barrel and cylinder for durability and strength. Low profile ramp front and fixed rear sights provide a snag resistant conventional sight picture. Light weight is no excuse for reduced performance so Smith & Wesson built the Performance Center Model 642 to handle continuous use of 38 Special +P ammunition. Smith & Wesson J-Frame revolvers have earned a reputation for durability, reliability, and performance since 1950.
