The SIG Sauer M400 ROSE with ROMEO5 is a purpose‑built AR‑15 style rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO, designed to provide a lightweight, easy‑to‑handle platform with the performance and reliability expected from SIG Sauer. Developed in response to feedback from members of the ROSE community, the M400 ROSE was engineered to support shooters expanding their firearm experience into the AR‑15 platform while maintaining user‑friendly ergonomics, minimal felt recoil, and intuitive controls. Built on the proven M400 platform, this rifle features a lightweight design that balances accuracy, durability, and controllability. The rifle is chambered in the widely used 5.56 NATO cartridge, offering excellent versatility for training, recreational shooting, and defensive applications. A 16‑inch Chrome Moly Vanadium steel barrel with a 1:7 twist rate provides strong accuracy potential while stabilizing a wide range of common bullet weights.

The barrel is equipped with a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle and a Hybrid Compensator/ Flash Hider in Rose Gold to help reduce muzzle flash and maintain a low shooting signature. The M400 ROSE is equipped with a slim 10‑inch free‑floating M‑LOK handguard, allowing shooters to easily mount accessories such as lights, grips, or handstops while maintaining a lightweight and ergonomic front end. A mid‑length gas system promotes smoother cycling and helps reduce perceived recoil, improving overall shooting comfort and control. One of the defining features of this model is the included SIG Sauer ROMEO5 Gen II red dot optic, which delivers fast target acquisition and reliable performance in a compact, durable sight.
