The Springfield Prodigy Gear Pac modernizes the classic 1911 with an optics-ready, high-capacity double-stack configuration while retaining single-action-only operation. Chambered in 9mm, the Prodigy is available with 17+1 or 20+1 capacity, making it equally at home for defensive carry, competition, or range sessions. Built on a forged steel frame and slide with a Black Cerakote finish, the pistol measures 7.8" overall and features a 4.25" match-grade bull barrel for improved accuracy and reduced recoil. Controls include an exposed, skeletonized hammer with a three-position design (including a half-cock passive safety), ambidextrous thumb safety, and a grip safety. A tactile loaded-chamber indicator gives quick status awareness.

The Agency Optic System (AOS), developed with Agency Arms, makes the Prodigy optics-ready using interchangeable billet-steel mounting plates with integrated U-notch rear sights for proper co-witnessing. This Gear Pac ships with a factory-installed Viridian RFX II green dot and iron sights regulated for a practical point-of-aim at 25 yards. Springfield’s Adaptive Grip Texture (inspired by the Hellcat) improves purchase in all conditions, and a Picatinny rail on the dust cover accepts lights or lasers.
