The Taurus 44 features a 8.37" hammer forged stainless steel barrel that is ported to control muzzle rise and along with a soft rubber grip, tame the recoil of the powerful 44 Magnum cartridge. For long days at the range, the 44 can fire the more tame and manageable 44 Special cartridge. The Taurus 44s dual lockup cylinder allows for a stouter, more secure lockup. The double/single action Taurus 44 features hand-fitted action and a clean, crisp double/single action trigger right out of the box. Adjustable rear and fixed front orange bead sights provide a clear and accurate conventional sight picture while an optics rail allows for the use of magnified optics for hunting and long range target shooting.
