The Beretta 96 A1 40S&W with  4.9" barrel chambered in 40S&W is the evolution of the legendary 92FS (M9) suitable for duty carry and self defense. The 96 A1 is chambered in the powerful .40 S&W and comes with three 12-round magazines.  The 96's iconic open slide shows off it's cold hammer forged barrel and reduces weight and backward momentum to reduce muzzle flip and maximize reliability while eliminating "stove-piping". The front sight is dovetail mounted to be adjustable for windage and can be easily replaced with an accessory front sight of the user’s choice. The 96 A1 continues the original pistol's legacy of exceptional accuracy and reliability while offering easy operation, accessorization and disassembly. Durability is further enhanced by a recoil buffer machined into the action that greatly diminishes component stress to make this pistol shrug off tens of thousands of full-power rounds. The 96 A1 uses a  Bruniton finish to be corrosion resistant and provide worry free maintenance even under challenging conditions.
