Housing a stainless steel barrel and cylinder for durability and strength, the double action only Model 442 is always ready for use. Designed for concealed carry with a snag free internal hammer and heavier, accident resistant double action trigger the 442 is always ready for action. Low profile black ramp front and fixed rear sights provide a snag resistant conventional sight picture. The Model 442 makes use of an aluminum alloy frame for reduced weight and ease of carry. Light weight is no excuse for reduced performance so Smith & Wesson built the Model 442 No Internal Lock revolver to handle continuous use of 38 Special +P ammunition.
