The S&W Model 642 Crimson Trace Lasergrip revolver chambered in 38 Special +P is an enhanced version of the popular J-Fame revolver for concealed carry. Designed for concealed carry with a snag free internal hammer and heavier, accident resistant double action trigger the 642 is always ready for action. The Model 642 combines a lightweight double action only revolver with Crimson Trace LG-105 Red Lasergrips for fast target acquisition and extreme accuracy. The Model 642 Airweight features an aluminum alloy frame with a stainless steel barrel and cylinder for durability and strength. Low profile fixed ramp front and fixed rear sights provide a snag resistant conventional sight picture. Light weight is no excuse for reduced performance so Smith & Wesson built the Model 642 to handle continuous use of 38 Special +P ammunition. Smith & Wesson J-Frame revolvers have earned a reputation for durability, reliability, and performance since 1950.
